















Rotterdam, the vertical city. A bit like Nar Shaddaa, but with a less developed villainous underbelly I suppose. I visited the city as part of a (highly recommended) yearly series of lectures on urban planning and public space (i.e. Winvorm). Each year in September, a city is explored by bike, guided by local guides or urban planners. I knew photo opportunities would arise only when making an actual stop and while listening to our guide, so minimal, easy to deploy gear was called for. In my case, my trusty old Coolpix A (28 mm eq.). In the case of camera toting collegues, almost exclusively an OMD-EM10 with, as far as I could tell, a 14-42 mm. I sure missed my 24 PC, which would have made for a very impractical setup anyway, but I would however have appreciated a long companion to the Coolpix. Have I mentioned before that I really like the size, flexibility, and design of an OMD-EM1 ? It's a real pity that, to me, the file quality doesn't reflect the price tag ...
